Our offer

Clever Kids Stollberg daycare center

We follow the situation-oriented approach, in which the child's needs and wishes are at the forefront and their real life world is taken into account.

Rituals, norms and values give the children security and stability in everyday life. We support the children in acting independently and appropriately without losing sight of the community and their role within it. By involving the children and giving them a say in the day-to-day running of the daycare center, we promote self-confidence and independence.

What we offer our children at

Early language education

A major focus of our educational work is on intensive language education. In addition to their mother tongue, the children are introduced to the foreign language in a playful way. In doing so, we awaken the children's joy of communication and promote their intercultural skills. In a language-filled environment, the children experience English as a foreign language throughout the day and thus in various everyday situations. The language is taught in contexts and is integrated into activities.

Healthy diet

Eating meals together in a quiet atmosphere is particularly important at our facility. We offer the children a healthy, balanced and varied all-day meal from our own kitchen. We have also set ourselves the goal of encouraging the children to enjoy healthy eating and to apply the knowledge they have acquired themselves.

Our approach

Children are driven by their curiosity, have a great urge to explore and discover and a strong desire to imitate the grown-ups, which is why the joy and fun of learning and playing is our top priority. With this privilege, independence, self-esteem and self-confidence can easily be strengthened and promoted in everyday life - which is why we act and work according to the situation-oriented approach! We pay particular attention to the early introduction of cultural techniques and the English language.

Learning workshops

In our learning workshops, children find a stimulating, challenging learning environment. Freely accessible materials enable research-based, exploratory and experimental learning in everyday life and support the children's "self-education process". The children are provided with materials that are appropriate to their age, stage of development and learning speed.

The rooms are designed according to the six educational areas (Somatic Education, Social Education, Communicative Education, Aesthetic Education, Scientific Education, Mathematical Education) with the aim of enabling individual education and acquiring essential precursor skills. Every child can choose their own activities and materials, work independently and according to their own interests, and reflect on and document their individual learning paths. We teachers are both guides and explorers, encouraging the children to "do it themselves" and offering them support where necessary.

Learning through project work

Our educational work is based on the situational approach. This concept focuses on the children themselves with their needs and wishes and their real life world is taken into account in everyday daycare. Based on what is currently moving or challenging "our" children, we understand learning as a dialogical examination of situations, people, objects, relationships and knowledge. We educators see ourselves as attentive learning companions and learners ourselves, keeping pace with the children's curiosity, contributing ideas and being amazed, motivating and reflecting through research. As part of our monthly project work, we support the children's development by picking up on their interests, educational topics and life issues, thus opening up different directions for answers and the acquisition of holistic skills. Because most learning experiences are made in the course of a project!

The project work enables the children to delve deeply into individual areas of knowledge. They are intensively involved in project planning and can experience how a concept is constantly developed from a simple idea, which is then put into practice. They experience self-determination and co-determination, self-activity and action orientation.

Checkmate

Some of our "Clever Kids" have also discovered one of the most popular board games for themselves... In the last two weeks, it was "boards out" for a tricky gaming experience. In cooperation with the Erzgebirge Stollberg e.V. chess club and with the active support of club chairman Jürgen Steinhardt and his deputy Steffen Hold, our preschoolers were able to experience two great chess taster sessions.

Children in particular can benefit from chess in their development. This is because it trains cognitive skills such as analytical and forward thinking and trains memory and brain growth. But fair and patient interaction with opponents also promotes the acquisition of essential social skills. We are already looking forward to many interesting chess lessons at the daycare center.
